Tree surgery in Long Ashton
Long Ashton is a village on the south-western edge of Bristol, with large mature gardens, older properties and plenty of established trees and hedges. It sits in North Somerset, even though it's right on the city boundary, which matters for tree protection: applications and notices here go to North Somerset Council, while neighbouring areas inside Bristol come under Bristol City Council.
We check which council applies, whether a Tree Preservation Order or conservation area is involved, and handle the paperwork for you before any work begins.

Protected trees and permissions
Some trees are protected by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO), and trees in a conservation area are protected too. For Long Ashton that means applications and notices go to North Somerset Council. We check this before we quote and handle any application or notice on your behalf — see TPO & planning advice.
